PARTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for renting the space at The Wonder (“The Wonder”) for a private event. The customer (“CUSTOMER”) enters into this agreement with The Wonder to secure the chosen date and time of the reservation.
RESERVATIONS
To reserve a date and time for the event, CUSTOMER must submit a non-refundable deposit of at least fifty percent (50%) of the space rental fee. The remaining balance of the space rental fee is due fourteen (14) days prior to the event.
RENTAL DETAILS
Included in the rental fee is private use of the space at The Wonder. Some details vary by location, but in general, the Lawn Party Package includes:
- 1.5 hours of space rental time (includes 60 minutes of play time and 30 minutes for food and cake)
- The Wonder staff members will begin cleanup at the end of the space rental time
- Admission for up to 12 children
- $20 per additional child (up to 8 additional children, max of 20 total)
- Babies 9 months & under are free
- Max of 60 people total
- 2 Wonder Guides onsite to set up kids tables, greet guests, and monitor safe play
- Food & drink:
- Cheese pizzas
- One organic juice box per child
- Water provided for all guests
- Birthday cake with candles and a ‘Happy Birthday ‘cake topper
- Themed plates, napkins, and cutlery for kids
REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT FOR INCIDENTALS
On the day-of the event, The Wonder will place a $250 hold on CUSTOMER’s credit card for incidentals (“Incidentals Deposit”). The Incidentals Deposit covers extended use of the space (please see Space Rental Time for more details) as well as any damages to the space including, but not limited to, wear and tear on walls and furniture. The deposit will be refunded to CUSTOMER after the completion of the event.
GUESTS
CUSTOMER must submit in writing to The Wonder at least two (2) days prior to the event the total number of expected guests, as well as the number of expected children requiring seating.
CUSTOMER acknowledges that the play space at The Wonder is designed for children aged 0-10 years old (age dependent on location). When children older than the age range are present for the event, CUSTOMER accepts full responsibility for any damage to property that results from their use of toys and furnishings that are not intended for their use.
All guests must sign the BIRTHDAY PARTY GUEST WAIVER before entering The Wonder.
SPACE RENTAL TIME
Events may not extend past the designated end time unless prior arrangements are made by CUSTOMER with The Wonder. If for any reason the event surpasses the designated end time, the Incidentals Deposit, which covers extended use of the space, will not be refunded to CUSTOMER.
CUSTOMER may enter the space at their designated start time to begin set-up. There is no setting up or dropping off of decorations, furnishings, food or beverage permitted in the space prior to that designated time.
CUSTOMER must make arrangements to have all rental equipment picked up and removed from the space on the same day as the event, and before the end of the event unless prior arrangements are made with The Wonder. Any large items that are left behind by vendors will result in a surcharge (see Incidentals Deposit).
SERVICES PROVIDED
THE WONDER STAFF. The Wonder Guides will be on duty during the entire event. Wonder Guides will open and close the space and provide information and direction as needed. With the purchase of the Lawn Party Package, Wonder Guides will set up the kids tables with tablecloth, paper plates, napkins, cutlery, and juice boxes. During the party, Wonder Guides will serve pizzas included the Lawn Party Package. Wonder Guides will not be available to decorate, to serve outside food or beverage, or to participate in the event unless a Lo-Fi Fun Activity has been added to the package. Wonder Guides are not responsible for supervising kids at any time.
FURNITURE (TABLES AND CHAIRS). Such items are provided upon request and will be set up and taken down by Wonder Guides. Furniture is not to be taken outside, moved, or rearranged by CUSTOMER or any guest attending the event.
DEEP CLEANING. The Wonder will perform deep cleaning, such as mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting, prior to and after the event. CUSTOMER must remove anything brought in by self, guests or hired vendors.
PARKING. CUSTOMER and/or guests are responsible for any fees/penalties incurred by parking in prohibited areas or any other traffic infractions.
DECORATIONS
Decorations may NOT be fastened to the walls, ceiling, play structures, or furniture in the space. Balloons must be attached to balloon weights. Other decorations not accepted include, but are not limited to: confetti and open flame candles.
Immediately following the completion of the event, all decorations, trash, or other debris must be thrown away in the appropriate receptacles provided. Anything left behind will be discarded. When in doubt about decorations deemed acceptable, CUSTOMER should consult with The Wonder. Failure to do so may result in a surcharge for excessive wear and tear (see Incidentals Deposit).
FOOD
Food quantity varies by location, but in general, the Lawn Party Package includes: cheese pizzas, one (1) organic juice box for each child, and one birthday cake. No other outside food may be brought onto the premises unless prior arrangements are made by CUSTOMER with The Wonder.
SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN
CUSTOMER accepts full responsibility for the proper supervision of all children during the entire duration of the space rental.
THE WONDER GENERAL TERMS OF SERVICE
By signing this agreement, CUSTOMER agrees to The Wonder’s Terms of Service and agrees to inform their guests of such terms, including but not limited to the following:
- Shoes are not permitted in the play space
- Socks must be worn at all times in the play space
MISCELLANEOUS POLICIES
- Live animals, except for service animals, may not be brought onto the premises.
- The Wonder will not be responsible for items left behind, before, during or after an event.
- The Wonder team members may enter any of the rented premises at any time on any occasion.
- Damage to space: In cases where property has been damaged or abused beyond normal wear, CUSTOMER will be billed for all damage and additional cleanup.
- Storage in space: The Wonder does not provide storage before or after an event. All decorations, props, rented furniture, food and beverage, food and beverage serving materials, and personal belongings must be brought in no earlier than the start of the rental time period and must be removed at the end of the event.
- The Wonder is not responsible for any damage or theft of any items brought in by CUSTOMER or any guest attending CUSTOMER’s event.
PAYMENT POLICY
A non-refundable fifty percent (50%) deposit of the rental fee has been paid at the time CUSTOMER enters into this agreement. The remaining balance of the total rental fee is due no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the event. CUSTOMER will be invoiced for all due payments via email at the email address provided with the deposit payment.
Failure to submit timely payment for the balance of the total rental fee will result in the cancellation of the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. CUSTOMER must submit a written request via email for cancellation.
If it becomes necessary for CUSTOMER to cancel the event, The Wonder will waive liability for the balance of the rental fee only if the date is rebooked and/or transferred to a third party who accepts responsibility for the balance of the rental fee.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
The Wonder reserves the right to close the rental space due to inclement weather for the safety of staff and guests. In such an event, The Wonder will offer an alternative date and time to reschedule the event.
PARTICIPATION DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to- person contact. The Wonder has created new protocols and put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, The Wonder cannot guarantee that CUSTOMER or persons attending the event will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending the event may increase the risk of contracting COVID-19 to CUSTOMER, CUSTOMER’s minor child(ren), and those in close contact with CUSTOMER.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
CUSTOMER agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless The Wonder and its employees from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liabilities incurred by The Wonder or its employees, arising from CUSTOMER’s acts or omissions under this agreement or any act or omission of CUSTOMER’s vendors, employees, contractors, or persons attending the event with the express or implied permission or invitation of CUSTOMER, except as may arise from the negligence or willful misconduct of The Wonder or its employees.
The Wonder will not be held responsible for any losses, damages, or injuries. This refers to any loss, damage, or injury to persons or possessions that may occur at any function held on this property, from any cause, whatsoever, prior to, during, or subsequent to the period covered by this agreement. CUSTOMER will be responsible for the control and supervision of the people in attendance during the use of the space to ensure no harm is done to persons or property.
